Students in the US Academic Esports League compete in age-appropriate video games based on their grade level. We work with your staff to select the best games for your students.
We offer opportunities for competition throughout the year. Once your school joins the US Academic Esports League, we open league play to as many students from each school as are interested in participating:
Multiple Entry Points
Teams are able to join the league for the fall, spring, or both.
Structured Practice
Teams opt-in to weekly scrims with similarly skilled opponents.
Weekly Matches
Teams play one official match per week alongside their coach
Local Matchmaking
We pair teams with local opponents at their skill level
Whether you have an established esports team, have been involved in another league, or are completely new to the world of esports, we're here to guide you. From recruiting players to organizing competitions, we show you the ropes so you can build an A-list esports team.
Esports programs in school offer opportunities for students to develop social skills, build relationships, and enhance their emotional well-being through collaborative activities and supportive interactions with peers and mentors.
Research shows that participation in after-school programs correlates with improved attendance and academic performance, as these programs provide additional learning support and a structured environment that reinforces educational goals.
Being part of a team fosters a sense of community, providing students with a supportive network of peers and mentors who share common interests and goals, promoting a sense of belonging and positive identity development.

“The biggest thing that I've learned through working with the students and going through the curriculum is building a team and working on communication skills. Those are skills that not only help them within the classroom but they can also take outside of school and into the real world.”
Steven Van Smaalen
Math Teacher, Santiago M.S.
“The students learn a lot...a considerable amount about teamwork, and how to win, and how to lose, and how to be respectful...from the parent side, I really really liked the program.”
Justine
Parent of Esports Student
“It's not just kids playing video games, there's more to it. Don't be afraid to try something new. It can really give students who don't have a place to fit in an area where this is their forte. Something that will help them connect in the education process.”
Jim D'Agostino
Principal, Santiago M.S.
